'Reading Between the Lines'
This was an early illustration project that I started, mainly just as a way to promote good films and keep me creative. I'm a big fan of movies and I love a good film quote, so the idea behind the series was to present some of the quotes that I personally found memorable. Although there are also a few video game quotes in there as well.
The individual posts that I put online always got at least a few responses, and that is part of what I love about creating illustrations or animations based on popular culture. I can recall that drawing the numerous lines in each piece could sometimes be quite mind-boggling, but it was always worth it in the end. I think my favourite drawing from the series is the quote based on Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, in which Mozart's Marriage of Figaro is mistaken incorrectly quoted as being a composition by Rachmaninoff. Unlike any of the other illustrations, this one actually incorporates the lines as part of the idea.
